PrintThe sum of $225,000 is appropriated for the National Zoological Park for: roads, walks, bridges, water supply, sewerage, and drainage; improving the grounds, erecting and repairing buildings, care and purchase of animals; necessary employees; procurement of live specimens; for one motor-propelled passenger carrying vehicle; for the purchase of bicycles and nonpassenger-carrying motor vehicles, revolvers and ammunition; for purchasing uniforms for park police and keepers; and for the purchase of books and periodicals. No part of this sum shall be available for architect's fees or compensation.
