PrintThe sum of $189,600 is appropriated for the National Zoological Park for the following expenses: roads, walks, bridges, water supply, sewerage, and drainage; improving grounds; erecting and repairing buildings; care and transportation of animals; necessary employees; traveling expenses; procurement of live specimens; maintenance and operation of one motor-propelled vehicle; purchase and repair of bicycles; revolvers and ammunition; uniforms to park police and keepers; and purchase of books and periodicals. No part of this sum shall be available for architect's fees or compensation.
