PrintThe sum of $255,540 is appropriated for the following expenses of the National Zoological Park: for roads, walks, bridges, water supply, sewerage, and drainage; grading, planting, and improving the grounds, repairing buildings; care, subsistence, and transportation of animals; necessary employees; procurement of live specimens; for the purchase, issue, operation and exchange of bicycles and motor cycles, revolvers and ammunition; construction of fencing around the park; for purchasing and supplying uniforms to park police and keepers; purchase of books and periodicals. For the preparation of plans and specifications for a public exhibition building for small mammals, $4,500 is to be immediately available.
