These documents included a letter from Richard Rush to Clarke, Fynmore and Fladgate setting up a meeting with them to discuss his plans to assert the right of the United States to the Smithson fund and a letter from Richard Rush to Secretary of State Fynmore informing him of the progress Rush made, people he spoke with etc.
