Summary

The Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949, as amended (40 U.S.C. 484) is further amended by redesignating section 203 (k) (2) as section 203 (k) (3), and by adding a new section 203 (k) (2) as follows: "Under such regulations as he may prescribe, the Administrator is authorized, in his discretion, to assign to the Secretary of the Interior for disposal, such surplus real property, including buildings, fixtures, and equipment situated thereon, as is recommended by the Secretary of the Interior as needed for use as a public park or recreation area." The Secretary of the Interior may sell or lease such real property, including buildings, fixtures, and equipment situated thereon, for public park or public recreation purposes to any State, political subdivision, instrumentalities thereof, or municipality.
