Summary

The construction of the George Washington Memorial Building, in the District of Columbia, is authorized. The control and administration the building shall be in the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution. This building, may, among other purposes, be used for inaugural receptions and special public meetings authorized by Congress. A commission to acquire land adjoining Rock Creek to connect the Zoological and Potomac Parks is created. The commission is to be composed of the Secretary of the Treasury, the Secretary of War, and the Secretary of Agriculture. The sum of $1,300,000 is authorized to be expended toward the requirement of such land.
