PrintThe following sums are appropriated for the National Zoological Park: $175,000 for roads, walks, bridges, water supply, sewerage, and drainage, grading, planting, and otherwise improving the grounds, erecting and repairing buildings, care and transportation of animals, necessary employees, travel expenses, maintenance and operation of one motor-propelled passenger-carrying vehicle required for official purposes, uniforms for park police and keepers, books and periodicals, and architect's fees; $53,000 for completing the construction of public exhibition building for birds; and $25,000 for the construction and equipment of exhibition cages for birds.
