PrintThe following sums are appropriated: $19,000 for international exchanges; $45,000 for continuing ethnological researches among the American Indians; $10,000 for maintenance of the Astrophysical Observatory. These sums are appropriated for the National Museum: $15,000 for furniture; $13,000 for heating; $153,225 for preserving collections from the surveying and exploring expeditions of the Government, including salaries of all employees; $4,000 for building repairs; $2,000 for rent of workshops; $500 for postage stamps and foreign postal cards; and $8,000 for new galleries. For the expenses of the National Zoological Park, $67,000 is appropriated for continuing construction of roads, walks, bridges, water supply, sewerage and drainage, grounds maintenance and repairs of buildings. For printing labels and blanks, for printing annual publications, and for binding scientific books and pamphlets presented to and acquired by the National Museum Library, $12,000 is provided.
