PrintThe following sums are appropriated: $132,500 for the preservation, exhibition and increase of the collection from the surveying and exploring expeditions; $15,000 for cases, furniture, fixtures and appliances required for the exhibition and safe-keeping of the collections of the National Museum, including salaries of employees; $11,000 for the expense of heating, lighting, electrical, telegraphic and telephonic service; $500 for postage stamps and foreign postal cards; $50,000 for the expenses of the National Zoological Park; $10,000 for maintenance of the astrophysical observatory; $12,000 for international exchanges; $40,000 for continuing ethnological researches among the American Indians; $12,000 for printing labels and blanks and for the annual volumes of the National Museum.
