Summary

Congressional report to accompany bill (S. 2946). The Committee on Rules and Administration was referred the bill (S. 2946) to remove the existing limit of $350,000 on appropriations for the Canal Zone Biological Area (CZBA). The committee recommended that the bill pass with amendment. The amendment was proposed to serve two purposes 1) that some reasonable limitation be maintained, therefore increase the present ceiling of $350,000 to $600,000, and 2) that the amount authorized for appropriations would not be effective until October 1, 1977.
