Summary

Board of Regents accepted without objection the proposed legislations, the Policing Statue Amendments and the Canal Zone Biological Area Appropriation Amendment. Several Congressional members expressed concern about the third bill proposed, the Oceanography bill. It was voted that the Congressional members of the Board be requested to introduce legislation in Congress concerning amending the Institution's police statue and concerning amending the Canal Zone Biological Area authorization for appropriations. They further voted to defer until the May meeting any action on oceanography research programs.
