PrintThe following sums have been appropriated: $10,000 for the expenses of international exchanges; and $40,000 for the purpose of continuing ethnological researches among the American Indians. For the National Museum these sums have been appropriated: $11,000 for heating, lighting, and electrical and telephonic service; $106,500 for the preservation, exhibition, and increase of the collections received from the surveying and exploring expeditions of the Government, including salaries or compensation of all necessary employees; $40,000 for cases, furniture, and fixtures required for the exhibition and safe-keeping of the collections, including salaries or compensation of all necessary employees. For the improvement, maintenance, and care of the Smithsonian Grounds, $10,000 is provided.
