Summary

At the request of President Wilson, approximately 15,000 square feet of space in the foyer and adjoining rooms of the new building of the new National Museum Building, now the National Museum of Natural History, has been assigned to the United Stated Treasury for the use of the staff of the Bureau of War Risk Insurance. The bureau was necessary in order to carry into effect the recent law for providing insurance, compensation, and indemnity for the enlisted men in the Army and Navy in World War I.
