Summary

The following sums are appropriated: $4,000 for the preservation of the collections of the exploring and surveying expeditions of the government; and $2,500 to pay William H. West for services rendered in taking care of and keeping safely the bonds held in trust by the Secretary of the Treasury for the benefit of the Smithsonian Institution.
