PrintThe sum of $4,000 is provided for the improvement, care, and maintenance of Smithsonian grounds. To enable the Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway Commission (An Act of March 4, 1913, 37 Stat. 885) to continue proceedings toward the acquisition of lands required for a connecting parkway between Potomac Park, the Zoological Park and Rock Creek Park, $100,000 is provided. For the National Zoological Park, these sums are appropriated: $100 for the purchase of books and periodicals and $125,000 for other expenses.
