The Memorandum of Understanding between the Museum of the American Indian, Heye Foundation, and the Smithsonian Institution, arranging for the transfer of the Museum of the American Indian to Smithsonian aegis. The MOU was signed by Julie Johnson Kidd, Director of the Museum of the American Indian, Heye Foundation, and Robert McCormick Adams, Secretary of the Smithsonian on 8 May 1989.
