Summary

The following sums are appropriated: $15,000 for international exchanges under the direction of the Smithsonian Institution; $40,000 for continuing ethnological researches among the American Indians; $12,000 for heating, lighting, and electrical and telephonic service for the National Museum; $125,000 for the preservation, exhibition, and increase of the collections from the surveying and exploring expeditions of the Government; and $40,000 for furniture and fixtures of the National Museum. The Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution shall submit to Congress at its next session a detailed statement of the expenditures of the fiscal year and annually thereafter. Also appropriated is $10,000 for the USNM to print labels and blanks, and its Bulletins and Proceedings.
