An Act to incorporate the Columbian Institute, for the promotion of Arts and Sciences

PrintThe Columbian Institute for the promotion of Arts and Sciences is incorporated. The powers of the corporation are stated and include the purchase of a suitable building for the preservation and safe-keeping of a library, museum, and land for a botanic garden. The amount of real and personal property to be held by the corporation shall not exceed $100,000. The corporation's charter is limited to twenty years.
