Summary

Extra pay is authorized for the settlement of the accounts of the officers attached to the surveying and exploring expedition to the Pacific Ocean and the South Seas. The sum of $1,842 is appropriated for preparing and publishing charts. For publishing an account of the discoveries of the exploring expedition, under the supervision and direction of the Joint Committee on the Library, $20,000 is provided.
