Secretary Abbot mentioned to the Regents that no action has resulted thus far from the bill introduced in the Senate to refund the income tax on the Freer estate, but that an unidentified gentleman of Washington, D.C., had called to say that he was interested in trying to secure the refund for the Smithsonian Institution.
