Summary

The income of the Freer bequest is $275,000 per annum, and the Regents discussed the possible uses of this income, but understood that the Acting Secretary has been hesitant to rule on the purchase of objects for the Gallery. The Board is of the opinion that upon the appointment of a new Secretary, the Freer will and codicils should be submitted to legal counsel for clarification immediately.
