Summary

Secretary Walcott announced the death of Charles L. Freer on September 25, 1919, and the Regents discussed his collections, the fund and progress being made on the Freer Gallery, and the conditions and limitations provided for in Mr. Freer's will. The Board of Regents then authorized the Permanent Committee to take responsibility for all matters pertaining to Mr. Freer's collection and for carrying out the provisions of his will.
