A written account of a banquet given by the Cosmos Club in honor of Gill's 75th birthday, December 13, 1912. Gill was one of the founders of the Cosmos Club as well as librarian of the Smithsonian deposit at the Library of Congress, professor of zoology at the George Washington University, and scientist in the field of ichthyology.
