Summary

Addresses history of landscape design and philosophy behind decisions at the National Zoological Park. Quite complete history, especially in the discussion of master plans made for the Park (1960-1973). Poorly footnoted (only four listed for entire document) and contains a few misinterpretations of the NZP's early history (most egregious error attributes selection of Olmsted as designer to Frank Baker after Congress' passage of the Park bill).
