The Evolution of the National Zoological Park
Close
PrintAddresses history of landscape design and philosophy behind decisions at the National Zoological Park. Quite complete history, especially in the discussion of master plans made for the Park (1960-1973). Poorly footnoted (only four listed for entire document) and contains a few misinterpretations of the NZP's early history (most egregious error attributes selection of Olmsted as designer to Frank Baker after Congress' passage of the Park bill).
