Summary

For his twentieth anniversary, several keynote speakers highlight the achievements and tell several anecdotes about Secretary S. Dillon Ripley and his wife, Mary Livingston Ripley. The celebration was to commemorate Secretary Ripley's retirement from the Smithsonian Institution. Speeches were given by William Warner, Jeanine S. Clark, Charles Blitzer, and Secretary and Mrs. Ripley.
