Summary

Record of the exercises held in celebration of the opening of the collection. An introduction is provided by Dr. Remington Kellogg, director of the United States National Museum describing the collection and its donation by Miss Mary Louisa Adams Clement. Includes the address given by Dr. Alexander Wetmore, Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, the remarks of Mrs. Katherine McCook Knox, and the address of General Ulysses S. Grant, III. Also includes a description of the collection and a biographical note on Mary Louisa Clement.
