Summary

Dr. Roland W. Force was named the new director of the Museum of the American Indian, Heye Foundation. The museum has been without a director since September 1975 when Frederick J. Dockstader resigned after the New York State Attorney General's investigation into the museums deaccessioning and management practices. Force assumed office on October 1, 1977.
