Summary

An original wooden propeller from the Wright Brothers' Flyer is presented to the National Air and Space Museum by Wilkinson Wright, a grand nephew of the Wright Brothers in a public ceremony held in the Milestones of Flight Gallery. There is also a symposium "The Wright Flyer: An Engineering Perspective." This symposium marked the eightieth anniversary of the first flight of the Wright Brothers, and is held December 17, 1983.
