Summary

Secretary Robert McC. Adams announces that Thomas Lawton, Director of the Freer Gallery of Art and the Sackler Gallery, has resigned. As of that date, Lawton began a one-year sabbatical. As of October 11, he assumed the position of senior researcher. Milo Beach takes over as Acting Director and is later appointed director.
