Summary

Joan Mondale donates a portfolio of prints by six American artists (Ansel Adams, Romare Bearden, Audrey Flack, Sam Francis, Robert Indiana, Wayne Thiebaud) to the National Museum of American Art, now known as the Smithsonian American Art Museum, as a token of appreciation from the Democratic National Committee "for the Museum staff's assistance in installing exhibitions at the vice presidential mansion during the Mondale's residence there."
