Summary

A new series of "Monthly Observatory Nights for the Public" are instated at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The programs are free, and include a lecture by a Center staff member, a film and an opportunity to look through the telescopes, and are scheduled on the third Thursday of each month. In Arizona, a similar program of free lectures is given in the community of Green Valley near the Mt. Hopkins Observatory in January and February, the "sun season" for southern Arizona.
