Wendell P. Woodring Retires

PrintWendell P. Woodring, National Museum of Natural History research associate, retires at the age of 88. He retires as the oldest active scientist working at Natural History. Woodring, a paleontologist with the U.S. Geological Survey, began his association with the Museum in 1919 and is the foremost expert in the world on Tertiary marine mollusks.
