Summary

The Sara Roby Foundation of New York City donates 169 painting, sculptures and drawings comprising an "extraordinary collection of twentieth-century realistic art" to the National Museum of American Art, now the Smithsonian American Art Museum. On June 11 the formal announcement of the gift is made.
