Summary

A method to artificially incubate and hatch eggs of the green iguana, developed by scientists at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, is used to hatch 700 green iguanas, the first to be hatched in captivity with virtually 100% success. "The achivement is a breakthrough toward the goal of commercial production of iguanas as a food source in Latin America."
