A nationwide program on jazz is started with a $7 million award from the Lila Wallace-Reader's Digest Fund. The award will be used to create a 10-year jazz celebration, " America's Jazz Heritage," and will include exhibitions, performances, educational programs, recordings, special events, publications, and radio programs.
