Summary

The National Science Resources Center is established as a joint project of the Smithsonian Institution and the National Academy of Sciences. The center is created to improve the teaching of pre-college mathematics and science by creating a curriculum resource center and information data base, developing resource materials for teachers, and offering a program of leadership-development activities.
