Smokey Bear Conservation Pledge: I give my pledge as an American to save and faithfully to defend from waste the natural resources of my country--its soils and minerals, its forests, waters and wildlife." Smokey Bear song was written by Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins. Both sheets have drawings of Smokey and other forest creatures. Created by the U.S. Forest Service as part of the Smokey Bear wildfire control campaign in the 1950s.
