Stanley A. Kovy was appointed Director of the Information Systems Division in July of 1970 until his retirement in 1983. Prior to that he served as Deputy Director of Information Systems under Nicholas J. Suszynski, Jr. He joined the Smithsonian in May 1967 as Manager of Fiscal and Business Applications.
