PrintThe Smithsonian News Service, produced by the Office of Public Affairs, is established to provide a nationwide, feature-story service for daily and weekly newspapers, aimed at promoting awareness of the Institution's activities in art, technology, science, and history. In its inaugural year, it distributes forty-nine stories.
