Summary

Charles Lang Freer hosts Ernest Francisco Fenollosa (1874-1908), professor of philosophy and curator of Japanese art, for a week-long visit to his house in Detroit. They begin a regular correspondence. Fenollosa becomes a friend of Freer and influences his collecting decisions.
