  • Present: James M. Mason, William H. English, Benjamin Stanton, Joseph G. Totten, and Alexander Dallas Bache. Also Present: Joseph Henry. Members not present were John C. Breckinridge, Roger B. Taney, James G. Barret, James A. Pearce, Stephen A. Douglas, Lucius J. Gartrell, and George E. Badger.
  • Mr. Mason was called to the chair. The report of the Secretary was read and adopted. The Board then took a recess till Friday evening.
