The Natural History Museum building, now known as the National Museum of Natural History, viewed from outside of the Smithsonian Institution building on Jefferson Drive. A figure is walking along the National Mall parallel to the camera. Cars are parked along three visible streets, including Jefferson Drive, Madison Drive, and intermediate streets on the mall, with five cars visible in the near middle ground. A foreground of rough earth takes up the bottom third of the image. The lower right side of the image is blurry.
