Summary

Roberta W. Rubinoff is named Director of the Smithsonian's Office of Fellowships and Grants. Prior to becoming Director, she was Assistant Director of the Office of Fellowships and Grants, after having worked as a biologist at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama for more than 14 years. Rubinoff succeeded Gretchen Gayle Ellsworth who had served as Director since 1978.
