  • This photograph comes from the Isaac Ginsburg Collection, particularly of images from his 1935 trip to Panama. Ginsburg, after graduation from Cornell University, spent a short time as an aide in the Division of Fishes, United States National Museum, in 1917. In 1922, he received an appointment with the Bureau of Fisheries as a systematic ichthyologist and worked there until his retirement in 1956. He specialized in marine fishes of the Gulf of Mexico.
