PrintThe launch of the first High Energy Astronomy Observatory, HEAC-A, a space satellite carrying a Smithsonian-designed experiment for mapping X-ray resources in the heavens, planned for April 15, 1977, is rescheduled by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration when "problems developed in the observatory's gyroscope package."
