Summary

  • On February 6, 2013, the Smithsonian names David Voyles, Director of the Office of Planning, Management and Budget (OPMB). He will begin this job on February 11, 2013.
  • Prior to this, Voyles served as an Associate Director in OPMB, where he oversaw the Institution's trust budget and led the effort to implement SI's plan to finance the National Campaign. He has held other positions at the Smithsonian including: Senior Administrative Officer and Special Assistant to the Under Secretary for Finance and Administration, Associate Director for Financial Management in the Office of Facilities Engineering and Operations, and the Associate Director for Administration in the Office of Protection Services.
  • Voyles replaces Ken Johnson who has ably served as the Acting Director of OPMB for the last year.
