Summary

  • Effective December 16, 2012, Kendra Gastright becomes the Director of the Office of Facilities and Management and Reliability (OFMR). Gastright joined OFMR in 2004 as a Museum Facilities Manager. In 2006, she was appointed Associate Director for Systems Engineering Division and has been Acting Deputy Director for OFMR since July 2012. Since coming to OFRM, Gastright has led initiatives in sustainability, energy management, and a new centralized customer service center. Prior to coming to the Smithsonian, Gastright managed maintenance operations at various facilities held by the US Navy.
  • Gastright holds a master's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from The George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in Oceanography from the US Naval Academy.
