Summary

Wagner Free Institute of Science in Philadelphia medal awarded to William Healey Dall for his investigations and writings in paleontology, 1899. Dall was a member of and then led the Western Union Telegraph Expedition through Alaska from 1865-1868, was a malacologist with the United States Geological Survey from 1884 to 1925, and served as honorary curator of mollusks at the Smithsonian Institution's United States National Museum from 1880 to 1927.
