Summary

Mary Tanner is named Interim Director of the Office of Fellowships and Internships (OFI) effective May 21, 2012. Tanner retired from the Smithsonian in 2010 and most recently helped establish a Smithsonian Alumni Program as part of the Smithsonian Community Committee activities. Prior to her retirement, Tanner worked as the Smithsonian in various positions including: Deputy Director of the National Zoo, Senior Executive Officer to the Under Secretary for Science, and Senior Executive Officer to the Provost.
