Summary

Letter from Joseph Henry, then a professor at Princeton University and later first Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, to Lewis R. Gibbes, a professor of mathematics, astronomy and chemistry at the College of Charleston, May 31, 1845. In the letter, Henry thanks Gibbes for a valuable assessment of his class syllabus. Henry also includes the revised syllabus that he altered according to Gibbes' criticism.
